Hello World!

Welcome to With Us Not At Us, a blog about the brand-consumer relationship in the digital realm.

Brands must walk down a two-street street now, they don’t dictate the conversation anymore (Joseph Jaffe notes that neither the brand nor the consumer dicates, that's why it is a "conversation").

There are many emerging themes in the marketing and communications worlds stemming from this development. Seth Godin has analyzed elements of this phenomenon in his latest book Tribes. It was a post in January 2008 where he began detailing one of these new tenants:

The aim of this blog will be to look at how brands of all kinds look to use modern technologies to engage their stakeholders and help make contributions to the network that these stakeholders now communicate in.
